I qualified as a Private Client solicitor in 2016 and joined Goughs in February 2020.
Life can be complicated. With a lot of the population containing those in second marriages, those who cohabit, and those with a dependent or disabled relative, getting your affairs in order and understanding your options gives you a choice. I specialise in the preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, preparation and administration of Trusts, and the administration of Estates.
I pride myself on taking the time to really understand the needs and priorities of my clients. Not only does this allow me to provide them with tailored and bespoke advice, but I can demystify and simplify complications or difficult circumstances.
Goughs is a dynamic and forward-thinking firm with a strong sense of community and teamwork. Having joined Goughs shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic put the country into its first lockdown, the firm adapted both for its staff and clients in a quick and efficient manner.

My particular areas of interest include complex family dynamics when planning for the future; making gifts to charities in Wills; estates that include an equestrian element and how to deal with these; and Armed Forces families when preparing for the future.
Aside from qualifying as a solicitor, my biggest passion is horse riding. In the Autumn of 2020, I bought a dressage horse with the aim of competing in British Dressage. I am enjoying our journey so far and am proud of how we are progressing as a partnership.
I am also passionate about raising money for charity. Twice in the last five years, I have cut off over 10 inches of my hair and donated this to the Little Princess Trust and I intend to keep doing this for as long as my hair grows!

I have recently been working on the preparation of Wills for a couple who were in their second marriage with children from the relationship and past relationships; a couple who owned a property that was partly owned with a loan from a Trust; and a widow with two children – one of whom is disabled.
I have also been managing the administration of estates for a single person who left over 10% of their estate to charity and made lifetime gifts, and another where the children of the deceased are estranged but are both executors.
