Since qualifying in 2012 I have been privileged to work with many of the country’s biggest housebuilders and have advised on all kinds of development transactions, from poultry sheds to 1,000+ unit mixed use developments. I have developed a particular specialism in strategic land deals.
My passion lies in helping developers, promoters and landowners to unlock the value and potential in their projects. We aim to share every stage of the journey with our clients, identifying development opportunities early on, right through to selling the final plot on a completed estate. Watching communities grow from the ground up is a key motivator for me; I often bore my children on days out by pointing out all the new housing estates I’ve helped to deliver!

I qualified in 2012 and have spent the last 10+ years focusing almost entirely on housebuilding and development, so I can offer my clients an exceptional level of expertise and insight.
I work in the housebuilding sector on site acquisitions, disposals and strategic projects. I also oversee site setups, infrastructure and plot sales. I have a great deal of experience in working with all types of development transactions including promotions, joint ventures and collaboration agreements, affordable housing sales and funding.
My least-known (if not greatest) professional achievement was qualifying as a tree surgeon in my early 30s, but I don’t get to spend much time on the tools these days. Mrs Shaw and I are blessed with three wonderful children and have the privilege of bringing them up in the most beautiful corner of the UK, a real bonus to working at Goughs.
