Georgina Catlin

Associate Solicitor

Get to know me...

I have been practicing Family Law since 2016, prior to qualifying as a Solicitor in 2018. Going through a separation can be one of the worst experiences in someone’s life and I know separation can be a very daunting prospect. I feel extremely passionate and committed to ensuring that the process is made as straightforward as possible for my clients, by delivering firm and clear advice, whilst trying to achieve a swift and fair settlement.

Over the years, I have developed a strong ability to empathise with my clients and pride myself of being warm and approachable to all. Positive mental health is really important to me and I will always encourage clients to seek additional support if required.

Testimonials from clients

My greatest achievement

I am extremely proud of the fact I was able to qualify as a Solicitor whilst also working full time in the legal sector over the course of four years. This provided me with invaluable experience in order to carry out my current job.

One of my greatest professional achievements is being ranked as a key lawyer in the 2024 Legal 500 Directory and receiving this quote: “Georgina Catlin is a fantastic solicitor. She cares deeply about her cases and takes special care to ensure she is doing everything she can for her clients. Her briefs are always timeous and well-prepared. I am always happy to see a brief from Georgina.”

I also enjoy taking part in Goughs regular events to support our Charity of the Year. I have been heavily involved in the selection process for the firm’s Charity of the Year. We carry out regular exercising challenges in teams across the Firm, with a primary focus on being outdoors and keeping active, something I feel is really important for a healthy life and mind.

In my spare time, I regularly go on long walks exploring the surrounding villages in Wiltshire with my Hungarian Vizsla, Bella.

What I like about working for Goughs

Since joining Goughs in 2019, I have flourished as a Solicitor. I have all the support I need from a large Family Department in order to provide an excellent service to my clients, whilst also ensuring I have a great work/life balance. We have an extremely supportive and open culture at Goughs which enables me to say that I love not only my job but my workplace.
