We are delighted to announce that we have raised in excess of £5,000 over the past 12 months for Alzheimer’s Support.
Over the course of the year we have participated in a number of events to raise these vital funds, including an abseil, dress down days across the offices, Denim for Dementia, a trek to the peak of Mount Snowdon and a car boot sale, among other activities.
Emma Taylor, the partner at Goughs who oversaw the charity of the year selection process commented: “We are proud to have raised such a significant amount of money for this incredible charity. It has been fantastic to see so many members of staff at Goughs take part and contribute to the fundraising events we have held over the last year. It really has resonated with everyone within the firm”.
“We are also pleased to announce that we shall be supporting Wiltshire Mind for the next 12 months and we shall be pulling out all the stops to raise as much money as we can to help the charity continue its life changing work.”
Alzheimer’s Support CEO Babs Harris said: “It has been a pleasure working with Goughs for the past year. We have been so impressed with their enthusiasm for supporting people living with dementia and with the way that each one of their offices has got involved in our partnership.
“This end of year donation could not come at a better time. Our charity is being hit hard by the current crisis. With day clubs and community groups closed and most home support visits stopped we are losing income every day. Even with Government help with wages we have fixed costs and need funds urgently to ensure our services can continue into the future. We are continuing to support all our families with supportive phone and Facetime calls to offer reassurance and advice and we are shopping and collecting medication for many of our clients.”
