Wiltshire law firm, Goughs Solicitors, welcome new appointment, Rebecca Dennis, as Head of Employment.

The legal 500 accredited law firm, who opened their seventh office just last year, are delighted to be continuing their growth and expansion in welcoming a new member to the team.

Rebecca Dennis will be based at the firm’s Greenways office and works across a range of employment matters including business reorganisation and redundancy, TUPE and change management, negotiation and settlement, and much more.

Rebecca has specialised in employment law for many years and provides consistent and risk aware advice to employers and employees alike, with her experience including both contentious and non-contentious work. Rebecca’s professional background is unique in that she worked for more than 20 years as a barrister providing legal advice, drafting and advocacy for her clients and more recently provided specialist trouble-shooting services on employment law and employee relations at a leading international HR outsourcing company. Rebecca has a strong reputation as a pragmatist and problem solver, and was therefore the perfect choice for Goughs new head of the Employment department.

We asked Rebecca a few questions about her approach and how she is settling into her new role as Head of Employment at Goughs:

What are your particular areas of specialism within employment law?

“My specialisms are business restructuring, TUPE, change management, negotiation, contract drafting, post termination obligations, discrimination and whistle-blowing.”

What are you hoping to bring to Goughs over the coming year?

“A dynamic approach to employment law and ease of access to expert advice across Wiltshire.”

How would you describe your personal approach to employment law and individual cases?

“My approach to employment law is one of total respect and patience from a platform of expert knowledge of the subject and business needs. I believe that risk free management of employee relations can be achieved with time and effort and understanding.”

In order to help businesses after lockdown, Rebecca is delighted to be able to offer clients a personal visit to review contracts, policy documentation and business needs, free of charge. This offer is subject to terms and conditions. Contact her today via rebeccadennis@goughs.co.uk.
