Wiltshire law firm Goughs Solicitors is delighted to announce that it has raised £14,500 for its charity of the year for 2016 – Julia’s House.
The law firm which has offices in Calne, Chippenham, Corsham, Devizes, Melksham and Trowbridge selected Julia’s House as its charity partner of the year because of the life-changing support the charity offers to children and their families in both Wiltshire and Dorset.
Over the course of the year Goughs held and participated in a number of events to raise these vital funds, including participation in the Chippenham Dragon Boat Race, the Corsham 10K run, the Monster Race and the annual Goughs Charity Golf Day at Cumberwell Park golf club.
Emma Taylor, the partner at Goughs who oversaw the charity of the year selection process commented: “We are proud to have raised such a significant amount of money for this incredible charity. It has been fantastic to see so many members of staff at Goughs take part and contribute to the fundraising events we have held over the last year. It really has resonated with everyone within the firm”.
“We are also pleased to announce that we shall be supporting two fantastic charities in 2017 – Julia’s House and Wiltshire Air Ambulance – and we shall be pulling out all the stops to raise as much money as we can to help both charities continue their life changing work.”
Ian Wadley, Wiltshire Fundraising Manager for Julia’s House, said: “We are hugely grateful to Emma, Martin and all the team at Goughs for their magnificent support of Julia’s House. We are also absolutely delighted that we will be continuing this fantastic partnership during 2017”.
“With just five per cent of our total annual funding coming from government, fundraising and volunteering by companies such as Goughs plays such a crucial role in the care provided by Julia’s House nurses throughout Wiltshire.”
