Our AGM 2024

We held our AGM at Bowood, it was a fantastic day with lots of different events for everyone, including axe throwing, gun dog handling, mindfulness and lots more!

It’s a great opportunity for our 7 offices to come together and another reason we were voted as a Sunday Times Best Pace to Work 2024!

New Starters

Welcome to Samatha and Elliot.

Samantha Elliott joins our Residential Property team in Trowbridge. Samantha has nearly 10 years of experience in the field and still very much enjoys assisting individuals with their investment in property, whether they are just starting on the property ladder, buying their dream home or simply investing in their future. Find out more about Samantha.

We welcomed Elliot back to our Private Client department in the Trowbridge office. Elliot advises his clients on a wide range of matters, including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, estate administration and estate planning. Find out more about Elliot.

Goughs Networking

This month’s networking event was held at The Pewsham in Calne. Thank you to everyone who attended, it was a fantastic morning fuelled by coffee and croissants and brilliant conversations. What better way could you start the day? Our next networking event will be held in Corsham, The Methuen Arms, book your free space here.

Employment Seminar

Our fantastic Head of Employment; Rebecca Dennis held an employment seminar at the Hilton in Bath along side Steph from Fidelius Group.

It was a very informative session and great to meet so many people looking to improve their recruitment and employee satisfaction by attending this seminar.

Happy Retirement!

Happy Retirement to 3 of our legal assistants Karen, Sharon and Heather.

  1. Karen retires after an impressive 45 years at Goughs always based in our Melksham office.
  2. Heather Bather retires after 18 years with Goughs always based in our Devizes office.

We would like to thank these 3 for all their hard work and commitment throughout the years and we wish them all the best for retirement. You will all be missed greatly.

Tour De Scotty

Our fantastic team of cyclists smashed their goal for #TourDeScotty on Monday the 17th of June. The team cycled 183 miles in just 1 hour and 20 minutes, beating our 2 hour-target. All raising money for an amazing cause, Scotty’s Little Soldiers.

New Bath Divorce & Family Law Clinic

We launched our first free Bath Divorce and Family law clinic headed up by Georgia Holmes and Hannah Francis.

Thank you to all those that attended, it was a very successful day providing free advice on all areas of family law including divorce and separation and child arrangements. It was veryr ewarding to assist those seeking legal family advice.

Don’t worry if you couldn’t make it this time we will be back soon with another Bath clinic, watch this space for the next date.

If you’re looking for family law advice sooner, please feel free to contact us for a free consultation at one of our Wiltshire offices.

Tidworth family fun day

Mark Hood, Laura Cole, Georgina Catlin, Luke Scott all attended the Tidworth family fun day on the 22nd of June. A lovely day meeting lots of families and plenty of our sunglasses were handed out for the lovely weather.
