The Role

We are looking for a full-time Legal Assistant to join our Private Client team at our Corsham office to work alongside a fellow legal assistant and support a lawyer with various admin and secretarial tasks.

Daily duties will include:

  • Compiling letters/documents, audio typing, completing standard forms and photocopying
  • Opening files/database input
  • Diary management to include arranging meetings and appointments
  • Assisting with clients and receiving/making telephone calls
  • Setting up and managing the electronic transfer of funds
  • You will also be required to help out with office duties and cover the reception desk during lunchtime and when the receptionist is away.

The Team

The Private Client team within the office currently comprises of three lawyers and a full-time legal assistant.

The Corsham office itself is home to a further four support team members and eight lawyers spread across our Family, Employment and Residential Property departments.

 

 

The Department

The Private Client department is based at six of our seven offices.

Our support team members have joined the firm having come from a variety of previous roles. They all work cohesively to support one another and you will be paired up with an experienced assistant when you join so that you receive in-depth on-the-job training.

 

 

Your Experience & Qualifications

Previous experience of working within a legal sector is not essential as full training on the Private Client practice area will be given.

You will need to possess strong organisational and prioritisation skills and be able to manage your own workload. The role will involve quite a lot of client contact so being able to maintain confidentiality at all times along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills is essential.
