Nick read law at Southampton University and completed his training as a solicitor in London. He joined Goughs in 1973 and quickly became a Partner in the firm. Never tiring of intellectual challenges, Nick studied part-time for an MBA at the University of the West of England, Bristol, which he passed with a distinction in 1995. Continuing his studies, Nick then obtained his doctorate in 2003.
Nick is the Head of the Commercial Department and has a strong background in Commercial Property work. He regularly assists clients with their corporate and business affairs, including contracts, terms of business, licencing, business formation and transfers.
Nick is also part of our Employment team and has a wealth of experience in the following areas: strategic employment and industrial relations advice and representation - including performance management, redundancy/restructuring, severance schemes, compromise agreements, employment issues on business transfer and has lead a successful conversion of a secondary school to academy status.
Away from the office, Nick is a Governor of Corsham School and is involved with the Corsham Development Trust.
