Goughs have been celebrating success with local entrepreneurs Tim Gant and Dean Stewart who have recently opened a new Auto Centre in Devizes.
The old school friends, who had lost touch after leaving school, met again by chance twelve years ago when Dean took his car into his local garage for a service. The old school buddies recognised each other immediately and rekindled their friendship, spending the last seven years talking about going into business together. Eventually they decided earlier this year, that enough was enough, it was time to stop talking and take the plunge.
A little nervous about what was ahead of them, Tim and Dean were eager to seek some advice and direction; after speaking to their accountant, they walked out of the firms offices in Devizes and crossed the road only to be confronted by the next stop on their list, a Solicitors.
Dean commented "Having heard of Goughs on the radio, and through reports from friends and family we knew they were a reputable firm so thought, as we'd ended up just outside we may as well pop-in. I have to say, they were not what we expected at all, they were really down to earth and spoke our language. The service we received was 110%; now we are planning to use their service model for our business. Like Goughs, we want to make G & S Auto Centre synonymous with straight talking; an honest and friendly service."
Having been open just six weeks the old school friends have been working hard on renovating the unit in Hopton Industrial Estate, which had previously been owned by Roman Glass and was unused showroom space. The boys have transformed the unit into a working garage with an office to greet customers: with the equipment now all in place the boys are open, raring to go and waiting for your business!
