Our History & Our Future
In 2007 Goughs celebrated 125 years of business; established in 1882 by George Isaac Gough the firm has since evolved beyond recognition. Originally founded in Calne, we now have six offices all in well appointed high street locations at Calne, Corsham, Chippenham, Devizes, Melksham and Trowbridge.
Many years ago Goughs Partners decided that in order to deliver the highest possible standard of legal services to an increasingly sophisticated client base, it was necessary for our lawyers to individually specialise. Our Solicitors, legal executives and paralegals are now organised by department, which has delivered many advantages to our staff and clients alike including:
